I also learned conventional medicine courses: Anatomy, Histology & Embryology, Physiology, Pathology, Pharmacology, Biology, Biochemistry, Bio-Physics, and relevant Lab-works. I got the basic training for making tissue slice and animal sample, using electric-microscopy and other Lab-techniques, As a medical student for the pregraduate internships, I practised in the conventional medical hospital and Chinese Medical hospital either. I gained a wide experience in the diagnosis and treatment of general medical problems by Chinese and Western medicines. The clinical disciplines that I have rotated are: (1) Internal medicine, (2) surgery, (3) Paediatrics, (4) Obstetrics & Gynaecology, (5) Neurology, (6) infectious disease, (7) ENT, (8) Ophthalmology, (9) E & A, and so on. I have mastered general examinations, such as: XRay, Blood tests, Biochemistry, ECG, EEG, and so on. Clinical Practising: Since a good medical training background of Chinese and West medicines and clinical experiences, I am popular among the patients in UK. I practised in the clinics of London, Manchester, Sheffield and Leeds. During the last 8 years I have treated more than 5,000 patients, among of them, 20 -30 % with skin troubles, such as Eczema, Atopic dermatitis, Psoriasis, Herpes-zoster (Shingles), Acne, Urticaria, Alopecia areata, Allergic Purrpura and other skin problems which are difficult to diagnosis, or treat in a routine way. So I have to be an expert with an abundant experience for treating skin problems. I also treat Neurological and Psychiatric diseases, such as Migraine, ME, MS, Post-stroke, Stress, Depression, Insomnia and so on. I also treat most Internal diseases, such as Peptic inflammation and Ulceration, IBS, Crohn’s disease, UC, Hepatitis, Arthritis, Pancreatitis; Woman, Children and senile people’s diseases and so on. Since my treatment of Chinese medicine is successful, more and more patients visit my clinic and some NHS consultants and GP doctors noticed me. The newspapers and ITV have reported my practice several times. Teaching: I give seminars to the medical students and scientists of universities, GPs, acupuncturists and herbalists, and to the public. I am a guest lecturer and the external assessor to the validation panel for BSc (Hon) Traditional Chinese Medicine in Middlesex University, London. Researching: I mainly do the clinical practice combined with literature research of TCM: (1) Chinese Medicine and Liver Function; (2) Chinese Medicine and Immune Function; (3) Acupuncture and Immune Function, and so on From 1980 to 1991: Teaching: As a lecturer, I had given lessons of Chinese Medicine near 1,000 teaching hours in BUCM and other universities. The lessons included: Foundational Theory of CM; Diagnosis of CM; Classical Schools of CM; Internal Diseases of CM; Clinical Supervising: Since I mainly lectured the Diagnosis of CM in BUCM, so I had to work in the teaching hospital regularly for supervising students and doing some clinical research.
