Ren He Lu

Male, 62 year old.

Prof. Lu was graduated from Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Pharmacology(BU of TCMP) in 1962. He has the responsibility of clinician, researcher and teacher in Dong Zhi Men Hospital Affiliated to BU of TCMP for more than 30 years. He was once the vice-president of the hospital. He now was the responsibility of professor of Internal Dept. of BU of TCMP, the headmaster of the Lab. of Diabetes Mellitus and Kidney Disease, and the tutor of MCs and PhDs. He is also the chairman of Diabetes Society of China Association of TCM and Pharmacology(CA of TCMP), the committeeman of Urology Sciety CMA, the vice-chairman of Geriatric Society, CnA of TCM, the vice- chairman of committee of nephrology, et.al. He has trained thousands of under graduate students, overseas students and graduate students. He has developed 4 MDs, 3PhDs and 17 MMs. Prof. lu has his own theory of treating DM and kidney disease by staging and comprehensive theropy. The therapy has significant effect on DM and lots of its complications, chronic and acute nephritis, renal failure and nephritic syndrome. He has also created a series of drugs to treat DM and its complications. They have been well received by the patients who are suffered from DM. He has won several National prizes in medical research fields. He has published 6 books and more than 60 papers, such as "Diabetes Mellitus"; "Proceeding of Treatment of DM with TCM"; "Diagnosis and Treatment on DM and Its Complications by Both TCM and WM"; "Treatment on 885 cases of Elder Diabetics"; "Analysis of 568 cases of Diabetic Nephropathy"; "Treatment on Chronic Nephritis by staging", et. al.

He has been abroad several times to join the international academic exchanges. He was granted a title of distinguished scientist by the State Council in 1992.
